Abanotubani Group has issued a statement regarding the deaths of two people at a bathhouse in Old Tbilisi, saying that all safety standards and procedures were observed at the facility.
The company expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and said it is fully cooperating with investigators.
“Abanotubani Group expresses deep sorrow over the tragic incident and extends its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
The company observed all applicable safety, registration and service standards and procedures at the facility. All measures required by legislation have been taken in connection with the incident.
Abanotubani Group is actively cooperating with the investigative body. The circumstances surrounding the case are being thoroughly examined.
At this stage, the bathhouse continues to operate without interruption,” the statement said.
The incident occurred on June 3, when two people were found dead at a bathhouse in Old Tbilisi.
An investigation has been launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which concerns incitement to suicide.
Based on available information, the deceased were two men over the age of 80.
