NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has arrived in Kyiv, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Announcing the visit on X, Sybiha said Ukraine highly values NATO’s continued unity and support amid Russia’s ongoing war against the country.
“We deeply appreciate NATO’s unity and strength in supporting Ukraine as we jointly defend transatlantic security,” the Ukrainian foreign minister wrote.
Sybiha claimed that Rutte will hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the Ukrainian capital and participate in a number of other high-level meetings.
The visit comes as Ukraine continues to seek sustained military, financial and political support from its Western partners, while NATO allies discuss long-term security assistance and regional defense cooperation.
