TBC Concept continues to support culture and contemporary art by creating opportunities for landmark cultural events and contributing to the development of both international and local creative projects in Georgia. Supporting the Tbilisi International Theatre Festival is part of this long-term vision.
This year, the festival will take place during the summer season, running from June 13 to July 12, instead of its traditional autumn schedule. The Georgian productions program will once again be presented in September.
The international program of the Tbilisi International Theatre Festival brings together some of the most acclaimed productions in contemporary theatre, featuring globally recognized directors, performers, and creators distinguished by their artistic vision, creative depth, and unique aesthetic language.
From June 13 to July 12, Georgian audiences will experience internationally celebrated productions including Krzysztof Warlikowski’s Elizabeth Costello, Milo Rau’s Medea’s Children, James Thierrée’s Rendez-vous, and the Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui duet performance An Other View. These performances promise not only critical appreciation from Georgia’s experienced and emotionally engaged theatre audience, but also powerful emotions and lasting impressions created in the unique atmosphere of live theatre.
Since its founding, the festival has featured two core programs — the International Program and the Georgian Productions Program. This year also marks the return of the “New” program initiative.
Over the years, the festival has hosted some of the most influential names in global theatre and performing arts, including Robert Wilson, Eimuntas Nekrošius, Robert Lepage, Daito Manabe, Giorgio Strehler, Akram Khan, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Silviu Purcărete, Jan Fabre, and many others.
TBC Concept and WM Visa cardholders will receive a 15% discount on festival tickets.
