The Roads Department of Georgia says traffic restrictions will be introduced on sections of the international Senaki-Poti-Sarpi highway from 02:00 on May 14 until May 27 due to bridge rehabilitation works.
The Department says repair works will be carried out on deformation seams of an existing bridge located at the 85th kilometer of the highway.
During the works, the carriageway between the 72nd and 89th kilometers of the road will be closed and traffic temporarily redirected to an access road.
Vehicle movement will be allowed through the Kobuleti transport hub at the 72nd kilometer, the Chakvi transport hub at the 89th kilometer, and the Grigoleti-Shekvetili-Kobuleti-Chakvi-Makhinjauri road.
The Department also notes that the Khutsubani and Kvirike junctions, located at the 76th and 78th kilometers of the highway, will be closed during the restriction period.
Traffic will operate under a temporary scheme agreed with the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
