Traffic is temporarily banned at the 110th km of the Kutaisi (Choma)–Alpana–Mamisoni Pass road due to a rockfall, the Roads Department says.
A landslide on a mountainside has triggered a rockfall near the entrance to Oni, blocking movement along the road.
Gocha Enukidze, ‘Georgian Dream’ delegate from the Racha-Lechkhumi-Svaneti region, says local authorities and emergency services are on site and taking appropriate measures.
