Millennium Challenge Account Georgia announced the 2026 edition of the Millennium Innovation Competition has been officially announced, inviting school students across Georgia to submit innovative STEM projects.
Open to students aged 13 to 17, the competition targets high school teams interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Participants must apply in teams of two to four members who may represent the same or different schools. Projects will be evaluated by an independent jury.
Founded in 2014, the competition promotes innovation and STEM education among young people while contributing to the development of human capital in Georgia. Over the years, it has become one of the country’s most prominent youth initiatives in these fields.
Students can submit projects across a wide range of categories, including space and aviation, cyber technologies and security, environmental protection, energy and climate change, healthcare and nutrition, applied technologies such as mobile and financial applications and artificial intelligence as well as robotics.
The winning team will travel to the United States in summer 2027 to attend a summer program at NASA. Teams placing second and third will also receive opportunities to participate in international STEM camps or be awarded various prizes.
The competition is traditionally organized by MCA Georgia in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. Official partners include the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency and Liberty Bank.
