Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said, signaling Kyiv’s openness to renewed high-level diplomatic engagement.
Speaking on the potential format of such talks, Sybiha noted that Ukraine is prepared for a leaders’ meeting involving Zelensky and Putin, with the possible participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump.
“We are ready for a meeting of leaders in Turkey in the format: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky – Putin, with the participation of Presidents Erdoğan and Trump. We have recently conveyed this signal to our Turkish partners. Turkey plays an important role in peace efforts,” Sybiha stated.
The remarks underscore Turkey’s continued position as a key intermediary in efforts to facilitate dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow, as well as Ukraine’s willingness to explore broader diplomatic formats amid ongoing hostilities.
