The Georgian National Tourism Administration published a report showing a remarkable rise in the number of international travelers visiting the country from the EU and the UK in the span of the first nine months of 2024. Compared to 2023, there was a 5.9% increase in visits from these areas, reaching 348,329.
Below is the breakdown of the countries in the report with total visits to Georgia:
Germany: 62,804, marking a 15.6% increase
UK: 25,431, marking a 12.5% increase
France: 22,768, marking a 21.3% increase
Greece: 20,500, marking a 24.3% increase.
Besides the EU and the UK, Georgia is very popular among Gulf countries, with a 24.8% increase, particularly 77,567 visits from Saudi Arabia and 23,415 from Kuwait, marking a 48.1% increase.
