The main geopolitical manifestation of European unity – unity on the issue of EU expansion – should be considered from the perspective of security as well, – said the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who addressed the leaders of the European Union at the meeting of the European Council remotely.
He claimed that Ukraine practically implemented all seven recommendations of the European Commission and is waiting for the relevant decision from the European Union.
“Ukraine practically fulfilled the 7 recommendations of the European Commission, and in return, we hope for your unity – that you will make a decision to start negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. This decision will determine the entire future path of the European Union. Either the whole of Europe will win, together with Ukraine, Moldova and in the future Georgia and Belarus, or the past will win. I am sure you are all on the side of modern Europe. We must win,” Zelensky said.
