Georgian women and mothers have announced nationwide protests outside police stations, hoping to get answers for the recent cases of police brutality against protesters. Organizers called on police officers to act according to their oath and not act unlawfully.
“We urge every police officer with even a bit of dignity to stand against the tormentors of our children,” the statement declares.
Protests are scheduled for 3:00 PM at the following locations:
- Old Tbilisi Main Division, Tabukashvili St. 27
- Didube-Chughureti Main Division, Akaki Tsereteli Ave. 16
- Gldani-Nadzaladevi Main Division, Guramishvili Ave. 19B
- Isani-Samgori Main Division, Javakheti St. 1
- Vake-Saburtalo Main Division, Kostava St. 68 / Chikovani St. 2
- Batumi, Abuseridze St. 11
The protesters urge police to protect citizens and oppose unlawful actions, upholding their duty to defend public safety.
