Wizz Air continued to strengthen its presence in Georgia in 2025, operating nearly 6,800 flights from Kutaisi International Airport and carrying more than 1.8 million passengers. This represents a 6.5% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period last year, showing sustained demand for the airline’s services in the country.
During the year, the Hungarian low-cost carrier recorded over 1.5 million bookings, up 6.7% year-on-year while maintaining an exceptionally high average load factor of 99.7%. These figures reflect Wizz Air’s strong operational performance and its leading position in the Georgian aviation market even as regional competition intensifies.
Kutaisi remained at the core of the airline’s strategy in 2025. Wizz Air expanded its network with new direct routes to main European cities, including Lyon and Venice, with flights to Bratislava set to launch soon. The additions are designed to improve Georgia’s connectivity with the European Union and support both tourism and business travel.
Since launching operations in Georgia in October 2012, Wizz Air has transported approximately 9 million passengers between Georgia and international destinations. The airline stated that its ongoing strategy prioritizes route expansion, customer-focused service and sustainability principles to ensure long-term, affordable access to Europe.
