The Central Election Commission (CEC) reports that as of 17:00, a total of 1,175,817 voters had cast their ballots, accounting for 33.5% of registered voters nationwide. The update was delivered by CEC spokesperson Natia Ioseliani at a press briefing.
Ioseliani noted that the voting process has been taking place in a calm environment. She acknowledged that some violations have been reported, but described them as “insignificant.”
“Violations exist, but they are not tangible. For instance, there were cases where two ballot papers were mistakenly issued, or where procedural rules for polling station setup were not followed. However, there have been no essential violations inside polling stations that could have obstructed the election process,” Ioseliani said.
