Strong winds have caused disruptions in Batumi, damaging residential buildings and leading to localized flooding in parts of the city.
Adjara Autonomous Republic Government says several roofs were damaged, including a residential building on Ivane Meskhi Street, while a building façade was affected on Pirosmani Street. Parts of the Old Boulevard were also flooded due to the severe weather.
The government reported that three flooding incidents were recorded overnight. Drainage wells, grates, and channels leading to the sea were intensively cleaned throughout the night, and the situation has since been brought under control.
Authorities confirmed that there are no water supply disruptions, and public transportation continues to operate normally. Relevant services remain on standby to respond to any further weather-related incidents.
