Venice Commission confirms receipt of Georgia’s request to examine the draft Foreign Agent laws

Today, 8 March 2023, the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission has published the following notification on its website:

“The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Mr Shalva Papuashvili requested the Venice Commission to examine the draft laws on the ‘Transparency of Foreign Influence’ and on the ‘Registration of Foreign Agents.'”
