Levan Khabeishvili leaves the post of the chairman of the United National Movement.
He claimed that due to poor health, the doctors gave him a strict recommendation not to work actively for the next 2-3 months.
“While there are four months left before the elections, I could not allow myself to leave the party for 2-3 months without the chairman,” said Khabeishvili.
He noted that in the next few days he will convene the National Party Congress, present Tina Bokuchava as the party’s chairman, and he himself will take the post of the chairman of the political council. Both changes must be approved by the party congress.
Levan Khabeishvili was brutally physically assaulted by the police during the protest against the “Russian law.”
