During a municipal meeting, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced that the capital city will install 200 additional electric vehicle chargers.
The auction for the project has been completed, and winning companies were already selected, he claimed. Contractors will install smart chargers at their own expense within eight months of signing the contract, while also ensuring uninterrupted operations for the following ten months.
Kaladze said that the expansion of EV infrastructure is part of the city’s transportation and environmental policies.
“We are placing significant emphasis on improving the ecological situation in Tbilisi—expanding green spaces, enforcing construction regulations, and implementing other measures to improve the city’s sustainability,” he stated.
