Tbilisi City Hall has announced changes to traffic routes in the Vake district due to ongoing rehabilitation works on Kakutsa Cholokashvili and Giorgi Tsereteli Streets.
Starting May 22, public transport and private vehicles will face movement restrictions for a period of four months. Traffic will be completely closed from the Vake Cemetery to the Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau. On Giorgi Tsereteli Street, vehicles will be allowed to move in one direction only.
Drivers heading toward the Tskneti settlement are advised to use an alternative route via Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, Tamarashvili Avenue, University Street, and the new Bagebi bridge.
Tbilisi City Hall apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their understanding.
