With the support of TBC (Hyperlink: https://tbcbank.ge/en), the international photography festival Kolga Tbilisi Photo celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
As a long-standing supporter of culture and contemporary art, TBC has consistently backed significant cultural initiatives. Among them is Kolga Tbilisi Photo, an international photography week that has become a key platform for both local and global artistic exchange.
The festival will officially open on May 1 at 20:30 at Factory Tbilisi, traditionally bringing together local and international audiences with a strong interest in photography. The anniversary opening night will feature a special musical performance by Killages, returning to the festival stage for the first time since 2018.
As part of the Kolga Tbilisi Photo 2026 program, the TBC Concept gallery will host two exhibitions:
- April 29 – May 30, 2026: A solo exhibition by visual artist and director Anka Gujabidze, titled “I Was to the Mountain.”
- May 4 – May 30, 2026: One of the central events of the anniversary week — an exhibition of archival works by legendary Georgian photographer Guram Tsibakhashvili, accompanied by the publication of a photo album featuring his works.
The festival program also includes an awards ceremony for the international photography competition, where winners will be announced across five categories. This year, nearly 600 photographers from around the world participated, with submissions evaluated by an international jury composed of leading experts from Germany, France, Italy, and Japan.
Kolga Tbilisi Photo aims to promote contemporary art and support the development of emerging artists. For TBC, education, empowerment, and inspiration of the younger generation remain key priorities. This commitment is reflected in TBC’s more than two decades of continuous support for the festival.
