Deputy Health Minister: Georgia Expected to Receive Vaccine in March

Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia

Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia stated that all countries globally are expecting a new wave of coronavirus.

She added that the expectation of a new wave is due to the different strains, insufficient immune situation, and people’s neglecting of regulations. She added that the current regulations will be needed for a long time and have no alternative.

“Rapid vaccination is important because under these conditions an unvaccinated person will become the first target of a strong blow [wave]. Therefore, it is important to keep the unvaccinated group small in the community,” Gabunia said, emphasizing the importance of preventing the new wave..
