The Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, stated that Georgia should receive the status of EU candidate.
“This is what we are told in all the capitals. This is a general mood that the European Union made a mistake at the time, that they did not grant the candidate status to Georgia, and it is important to correct this mistake,” he said.
Papuashvili noted that Georgia is doing everything to get the candidate status adding: “we hope that there will be a positive decision.”
