At the autumn plenary session, in response to the question of the deputies, the Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, spoke and said that the construction of the Rustavi-Tbilisi high-speed highway will be resumed from next year.
“Funds have been invested in the budget for this road, and the construction will resume next year,” he said.
Talks on the Tbilisi-Rustavi high-speed highway project began in 2012, and the construction works were to be completed in April 2014, the road was supposed to be completed in September 2015, but it was postponed for an indefinite period.
