Russia has rejected a call by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for a humanitarian pause in Ukraine over Easter, Ukrainian media reports via UN Permanent Representative to Ukraine Sergey Kislitsa.
“The position of Moscow was announced to the Security Council a few hours ago,” Kislitsa said.
On April 19, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appealed for a four-day humanitarian pause in the war to allow for the opening of humanitarian assistance corridors during the Orthodox Christians’ Easter weekend.
