The Georgian national football team returned to Georgia yesterday, landing at Tbilisi International Airport at 9:15 and they were greeted by thousands of fans.
Reuters responded to the event called “Georgia’s thanks to the football team”, which was held at Freedom Square yesterday, at 22:00.
“President Salome Zurabishvili, who attended all four matches of the country in Germany, presented one of the highest civilian awards of Georgia, the Order of Honor, to each player,” Reuters noted.
Reuters also highlighted the fact that before arriving at the Freedom Square, the Georgian national football team was traveling in an open bus in Tbilisi and was met with applause and cheers.
