Volunteers report that the body of missing Australian citizen Shanae Brooke Edwards, who disappeared yesterday while hiking in the Mtatsminda area, was found in the surrounding area of the Okrokhana woods.
No further details are known so far.
She was last seen on July 30th.
At 4:32pm, a friend who is in California received a call from her while she was being attacked and screamed for help. She was heard saying “please let me go, ok… just let me go.”
She was not seen or heard of after that.
She was being searched for by police and over 100 local and expat volunteers.
The Interior Ministry says the agency is verifying the information.
