Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze announced that a large-scale joint operation was carried out across Georgia on Friday morning, during which searches were conducted in 22 locations — including the apartments, houses, and personal belongings of former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, former State Security Service head Grigol Liluashvili, former Chief Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze, and eight other individuals linked to them.
Gvarakidze says investigators seized various electronic devices, documents, and significant amounts of cash.
“Given the high public interest and the importance of these criminal cases, I would like to inform the public that intensive investigative, procedural, and operational-search measures are underway,” he said, adding that updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
