President: People Threatening Me with my Career were Nowhere in 2007, and Now They Ask Me about My Morals

People who are threatening me today in various ways, with my career or I don’t know in what way, they think that they can threaten me, these people were nowhere in 2007 and now they ask me about my morals and teach me how to fight against Saakashvili, who has already fallen today, the President of Georgia said at the briefing.

The President claimed that it has already been revealed and it is very clear that there is a joint game between the forces that seem to be very opposed to each other.

In her speech at a briefing today, Zurabishvili referred to the participants of the rally held in front of her residence, asking her not to pardon imprisoned ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, calling the above demonstration “pressure.”

“This rally was accompanied by various message boxes that have been circulating these days and it was intended to put pressure on the President, from people, from a party whose leaders were nowhere to be found in 2007. I say 2007 because this is the period when everything had already happened and everything was clear. These people who today threaten me in various ways, with my career, with my career or I don’t know in what way, they think that they can threaten me, these people were nowhere in 2007 and now they ask me about my morals and teach me how to fight against Saakashvili, who has already fallen today. I wonder where these people were after 2007. I will tell you – one was in Misha’s headquarters and stayed for a long time, someone was well established in “Cartu Bank”, someone else held other positions, and I don’t want to make all this personal. They were nowhere and I wonder what they will ask me about morality and what they will teach me?! Even the so-called four running around. I also want to say that here it is very clear that there is a joint game between some forces that are supposedly very opposite, but who actually spared Murusidze and Chinchaladze? Me? When? I think it was the force that teaches me wisdom today. Not only were they pardoned, but they were put in places where no one can remove them and where they very effectively block our way to Europe. Who is it for? Why don’t you ask this before rushing the rally to me,” said the President.

She also explained that today’s briefing was unplanned. At the same time, she noted that she joined the participants of the rally because she was connected with many of them by the common past of struggle.
