PM: Occupation Regime Will be Held Responsible for all Incidents, Illegal Restrictions & Detentions

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, spoke about Lazare Grigoriadis, who was accused of assaulting a policeman and damaging property at a rally held on March 7-9, noting that attacking the police is not forgivable and is unacceptable.

“A few days ago, the police arrested the person who had attacked the police. Everyone saw the footage, of how one of the anarchists threw a “Molotov cocktail” at the police, that is, this person intended to burn the policeman alive. I came out and expressed my position that we would not forgive anyone for this. This is an unacceptable red line where we will be uncompromising. Also, the public saw that the plan was much more complicated. They planned to sow permanent chaos, of course, their ultimate goal was to destabilize our country, to change the Government by violent means, which, of course, did not work and will not work for anyone,” Garibashvili noted.

He added that these people were prepared for provocations to happen.

“We will be uncompromising in this fight. Of course, what happened is categorically unacceptable. Everyone who is accused and exposed in the attack on the police should be punished,” said the Prime Minister.
