PM: The biggest danger our country is facing today is the conspiracy theories

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, stated in Parliament that there had been many attempts to open a “second front,” pushing for Georgia’s involvement in the war. He added that “the second front” was spoken of by the secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine.

“Mr. Danilov stated at the press conference that their desire and goal was to open a second front in Georgia. He added that their task was to divert Russia’s attention to another country, to another region. It was also noted that not only Ukrainian women and children should die, but also other countries should also feel the consequences of the war. This is a very brief summary of the speech that the whole community heard. After that, we remember the statements of the representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, I will not list the names. It is well known that we are not a pro-war government. Their wish was for Saakashvili to be in power, who would start a war against Russia, join Ukraine, and involve Georgia in the war,” the Prime Minister said.

He noted that 20% of Georgia is occupied, and the troops of the occupying country are stationed on the historical lands of Georgia.

“The real danger facing our country today is the very plan and conspiracy that exists against the country – this is the so-called Ukrainization plan, the plan to open a second training ground and a second front. I want to remind everyone that today our country is neither a member of the European Union nor a member of NATO, we do not have any security guarantees and 20% of the country is occupied by the number one nuclear power,” he said.
