The multinational exercises Noble Partner are yet another consistent step toward deepening our international cooperation, in the direction of the professionalism of our prized troops and interoperability with NATO, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated in his speech at the closing ceremony of the multinational exercises Noble Partner 2022.
Garibashvili thanked the military personnel involved in the drills.
Prime Minister expressed profound gratitude to the Georgian military forces, pointing out that they once again exhibited their high professionalism and responsibility.
“Madam President, Mister Chief of Defense Forces, esteemed generals, officers, sergeants, corporals, and privates, representatives of the diplomatic corps, I greet all of you!
“Honorable guests, I congratulate you on the successful completion of yet another multinational exercises Noble Partner.
“We are truly proud to be hosting these exercises in Georgia for the sixth time.
“It is yet another consistent step toward deepening our international cooperation, in the direction of the professionalism of our prized troops and interoperability with NATO. Year after year, our service members, together with their colleagues from NATO member and partner states, are developing their capabilities and establishing strong ties.
“The name of the exercises, Noble Partner, perfectly illustrates the key principles underpinning our years-long cooperation focusing on mutual empowerment. Our units, alongside mastering unique combat skills, also share their experience with our strategic and international partners,
“I would like to thank every country engaged in these exercises, including the representatives of Japan and Sweden who have taken part in these drills for the first time, also to every service member participating in these exercises. I am especially grateful to our prized military personnel who have once again exhibited their high professionalism and responsibility.
“In the same vein, a special thank you to our main strategic partner, the United States of America, for organizing the exercises and contributing to their implementation. Our cooperation and partnership is strong and growing dynamically, being directed toward cementing the defense capability and resilience of our country.
“In conclusion, I once again would like to thank our service members, everyone, and once again congratulate you on the conclusion of Noble Partner 2022. May God be your protector,” Garibashvili stated.
The multinational exercises Noble Partner at the 11th training area in Vaziani has officially concluded. After the performance of Georgia’s national anthem, the event’s guests observed a moment of silence in memory of the fighters fallen for the territorial integrity of Georgia.
The military personnel of the participant countries were addressed by Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili, Chief of Defense Forces/Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, and Deputy Commanding General of V Corps/Major General Jeffrey Broadwater.
The event continued with an awarding ceremony honoring the exercises’ participant military personnel. Chief of Defense Forces/Major General Giorgi Matiashvili awarded the Defense Ministry’s Medals Noble Partner, General Mazniashvili, and General Kvinitadze.
The closing ceremony of the multinational exercises at the 11th training area in Vaziani was attended by representatives of Georgia’s executive and legislative, and of the diplomatic corps, also by members of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package Core Team, and representatives of the NATO Liaison Office, the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC), and the EU Monitoring Mission.
