Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze gave a speech during the party’s election program presentation, declaring that the ruling party had managed to increase the country’s budget to 28 billion GEL by 2024, and claimed it will continue to grow until it reaches 50 billion GEL by 2028.
“In 2012, the Georgian budget was 8.5 billion GEL. Despite challenges, we increased it to over 28 billion GEL,” Kobakhidze said.
The PM also addressed pressing issues such as unemployment, underscoring the party’s success in reducing it.
“In 2012, the unemployment rate was 26.7%, but we dropped it to 13.75%. Our goal is to reduce the rate to 4% by 2028, below the European average of 6%,” he said.
Kobakhidze also mentioned the party’s goal of generating at least 200,000 more jobs by 2028.
