Plastic pollution and Waste landfills swamped with plastic have become one of the biggest modern challenges that are destroying the environment, animal life, and human health. We are producing 380 million tons of plastic every year, 50% of which are just single-use plastic used for just a few moments and end up in landfills. Every year, over 8 million metric tons of plastic ends up in the ocean killing over a million sea creatures. We see the devastating effects on wildlife as more and more sea mammals and seabirds are found dead on our shores with plastic-filled stomachs.
This is exactly what the authors of the photos are trying to convey through their creative vision and make us see the gravity of the problem.
