Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili wrote on Twitter that the European Union should demonstrate its long-term interest towards the region by granting candidate status to Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

Chairman of the Parliament responded to Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, David Mcallister who Tweeted: “the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs will discuss its assessment on the application of Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia to join the EU with the European Commission.
