Georgia can continue to count on our support on its EU path,” EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi wrote on Twitter.
The parliamentary majority said they would withdraw the draft law on ‘transparency of foreign influence’ following heightened protests this week.
“As a ruling power responsible to each member of society, we have decided to unconditionally withdraw the bill we supported, without any reservations,” – reads the joint statement of the political council of Georgian Dream, People’s Power and the parliamentary majority.
