New Year’s Days in Georgia: Where to celebrate

“New Year’s Days in Georgia” will start on December 23 and continue until January 13.

New Year’s events will be held throughout Georgia in 63 municipalities. Christmas markets, exhibitions and sales, and spaces for children’s entertainment will be organized. In the evening, music concerts are scheduled, where local and invited artists from the capital will perform.

In Tbilisi, the events will be held in Orbeliani Square, in Dedaena Park, the March 9 Gardens, 9th of April Park.

Events will be suitable for people of all ages. Marches, performances, concerts of ensembles, bands, pop singers, and live electronic shows will entertain audiences.

From December 23 to January 13, the Christmas Village, which includes Orbeliani Square, surrounding streets and Dedaena Park, will host a Christmas market, gastronomic and entrepreneurial exhibitions, performances, children’s workshops and other events.

Evening programs will involve artist shows followed by DJ performances and electronic music.

The First Republic Square in the capital will host a gala concert on New Year’s Eve.

The celebrations will range from the capital city of Tbilisi to major cities of the country in 10 regions.

In the Kakheti region, Telavi will celebrate the season with public festive decorations and a new Christmas tree.

A video released by Kutaisi City Hall shows how the country’s third largest city has been prepared to mark New Year’s Eve.

The Black Sea city of Batumi is also magically decorated for the festive season, charming and attracting both visitors and locals.

The estate of Dadiani Palace will host the celebrations in the city of Zugdidi in the Samegrelo region.

Georgia’s highland town of Mestia in the Svaneti region will host locals and visitors not only with shows and activities but also with snow and skiing adventure. The winter season officially opened in the location on Wednesday.

To conclude, no matter where you’re planning to celebrate, in each part of Georgia, New Year’s days will be magical in their unique ways!
