The New Wine Festival 2024 will take place on May 11 at Mtatsminda Park.
Supported by the National Wine Agency, the event receives informational backing from the Marani site (vinoge.com), the Wine Information Center, and findwines.ge. Partners include Mtatsminda Park, G.Vino wine bar, 8000 Mosavali chain of wine shops, and Wasserstrasse wine bar, with organization by the Wine Club Georgia.
The festival promises guests the opportunity to taste hundreds of new wines from the 2023 harvest, meet the creators, and discover new flavors. Its main goal is to promote traditional Georgian Qvevri wine, explore new varieties and regions, enhance wine education, and develop consumer culture.
Since 2010, the festival has expanded, welcoming new family wineries and wine companies, showcasing their latest vintages. It attracts wine producers, Georgian and international wine professionals, wine writers, wine bars, restaurants and aficionados are looking forward to the New Wine Festival. By tradition, world-renowned wine masters, sommeliers, importers and wine writers save the date for the New Wine Festival, as they get ready to encounter the Georgian wines.
The festival, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., features large wine companies, medium and small wineries, and family wineries from across Georgia offering their best wines from the 2023 harvest. The Mtatsminda Park event charms its guests with the diversity and the joy of discovering of new savors, giving them the opportunity to learn more about the wine of their choice directly from the wine producers they get to meet in person.
The New Wine Festival 2024 will commence with the traditional ceremony of opening the Qvevri, accompanied by the Mravalzhamieri song. This qvevri contains the finest wine selected by the Wine Club, made in a family cellar.
Open to all, the festival welcomes all guests. It offers good music, along with a range of enjoyable activities, a raffle for 10 boxes of premium wine, and more.
