The National Wine Agency says 17.3 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to 51 countries in the first quarter of the year, with a total value of $53.2 million.
The Agency states that, compared to the same period last year, the volume of exports increased by 5%, while the value rose by 7%.
The Agency highlights growth in several strategic markets. Exports to Germany reached 375,000 liters, up 32% year-on-year. Exports to the United Kingdom increased by 9% to 86,000 liters, while shipments to China rose by 4% to about 831,000 liters.
The Agency also says alcoholic beverages were exported to 38 countries during the same period. A total of 7.6 million liters worth $56.6 million were exported, with revenue increasing by 3%.
