The Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery in Tbilisi will be closed to visitors from August 1 to August 31 due to technical problems affecting the building’s climate control systems.
“Due to technical problems, it has become impossible to maintain the required temperature and humidity in the exhibition halls, which is why the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery will be closed to visitors from August 1 to August 31 of this year,” the museum stated on social media.
The closure is intended to protect artworks from potential damage caused by fluctuating environmental conditions.
