More than 20 flights have been canceled at Georgia’s main international airports due to ongoing developments in the region to BusinessPressNews reports.

The majority of cancellations affect Tbilisi International Airport where 17 scheduled flights will not operate on March 1. Meanwhile, four flights have been canceled at Batumi International Airport.

From Tbilisi, flights to several Middle Eastern destinations have been suspended, including:

  • Tel Aviv – 7 flights
  • Sharjah – 2 flights
  • Dubai – 3 flights
  • Doha – 3 flights
  • Abu Dhabi – 1 flight
  • Kuwait – 1 flight

In addition, four flights to Tel Aviv have been canceled from Batumi.

Airport authorities have not specified how long the disruptions will last but indicated that the cancellations are directly linked to recent regional developments. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for updated flight information and possible rebooking options.

Further schedule adjustments may follow depending on how the situation evolves.
