The Delegation of the Defense and Security Committee, headed by the Chair, Irakli Beraia serves the official visit to Ankara, Turkey.
The visit includes the meetings of the Georgian MPs with the Chairs and members of the National Defense, the Security and Intelligence, as well as the Internal Affairs Committees of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Meetings will be held with the Head of the Turkish Parliamentary Delegation to NATO PA and the Turkey-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group members. Georgian MPs are as well visiting the “Turkish Aerospace Industries” (TAI) and one of the leading defense technological companies “HAVELSAN.” The visit aims at the enhancement of parliamentary cooperation and ties between the sector Committees.
The Delegation of the Defense and Security Committee is composed of the Majority MPs – Deputy Chairs, Alexander Tabatadze and Vladimir Chachibaia, and the Opposition MPs – Alexander Elisashvili and Hermann Szabo.
