The existing close cooperation between Italy and Georgia in the field of education and future common projects; fruitful cooperation of Georgian and Italian agencies in the field of school education, with which more than 8,000 pupils of 60 public and private schools of Georgia are currently learning the Italian language; adding a subject test of the Italian language to the teachers’ exams; strengthening of Italian language teaching in the general education system of Georgia; scholarship programs that give Georgian students the opportunity to continue their studies in leading Italian universities – these and other issues were discussed by Italian Ambassador Massimiliano D’Antuono at a meeting with the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari.
