The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee discussed in the second reading the legislative initiative of MP Eka Sepashvili on State Property.
The change establishes a legal basis for the LEPL Georgian Public Broadcaster to be transferred the ownership of the 18761 m2 land plot at Anna Politkovskaya N31 in Tbilisi, on which the new building of the Public Broadcaster is under construction.
Based on Eka Sepashvili, this will ensure the supreme law of the country – the provision enshrined in the Constitution of Georgia, the principles of independence and freedom from the state agencies of the Public Broadcaster and political and commercial influence.
The Committee approved the document to the Plenary.
