The educational process in schools across Georgia was resumed from today. According to the Ministry of Education and Science, all public and private schools in Georgia are fully prepared to renew the educational process in school buildings.
The ministry notes that it is still giving parents the opportunity to choose distance learning, while risk group teachers can, if they wish, conduct lessons remotely.
“All the recommendations developed by the Ministry of Health will be strictly observed in schools for the safety of students, teachers and school administration representatives, and to avoid any other risk. In case of detection of coronavirus, targeted restrictions will continue. In case of physical attendance, students, including grades I-XII, will be required to wear a face mask, and the state will still provide mandatory testing for teachers,” said the Ministry of Education.
At the same time, the Ministry notes that at this stage, 73% of teachers and school administrators have been vaccinated, 94% of whom have been vaccinated twice.
Regarding distance learning, according to the agency, 11% of students have opted for distance learning at this stage.
According to the Ministry of Education, due to safety, the school administration will intensively inform the parents about the organization of the educational process and the sanitary-hygienic norms in the school.
“The Ministry will continue to monitor schools systematically,” the Ministry of Education and Science said.
