The Georgian people should not lose hope, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa said in response to a question from Euroscope ahead of the European Council summit in Brussels.
Siliņa emphasized that real power in Europe lies with society, stressing that Georgia is an integral part of Europe. She noted that Latvia, like Georgia, endured the Soviet period before gaining freedom through the will of its people.
“No politician can make decisions instead of the people and society,” the Latvian Prime Minister said. “If society remains strong and does not lose hope, it will succeed. I truly believe in this.”
She underlined that lasting change comes from citizens themselves, adding that collective determination and resilience are key to achieving freedom and success.
