Georgian lawyer Gia Khuroshvili published a social media post alleging that a police officer had chosen to leave the country rather than participate in repressing the protesters.
“A police officer managed to leave Georgia and find refuge in a safe country! He says all police officers who do not obey the regime are beaten! The family members and children of police officers have been beaten! There is a big revolt inside [the system]! The regime can no longer withstand it!” Khuroshvili wrote. “He asked me to pass this information on to you (without identification) and other police officers. Guys, don’t give up!”
