Kakha Kaladze, mayor of Tbilisi, stated that Georgia seeks cooperation with the U.S. and is open to reassessing their friendship; however, ‘not at the expense of compromising the country’s interests’.
In his belief, calls regarding the ‘transparency law’ and releasing certain individuals from prison are inappropriate.
“Concerning strategic partnerships, it is absolutely unacceptable to call the transparency law Russian or to be told to release certain criminals from prison,” Kaladze said.
