In the category of blended whisky aged up to 12 years, the Georgian product – JIMSHER TRIO won a bronze medal at “World Whiskys Award 2023”.
World Drinks Award is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of beverages. Companies from different countries that lead the world markets and offer the most outstanding and famous products take part in the competition.
This year, the jury in the whisky category was represented by such famous people as Hans Offringa, Sukhinder Singh, Bernard Walsh, Lance Winters, Steve Nally, Bob Dalgarno, Alan Winchester, and others.
JIMSHER TRIO jury evaluation: “The nose is fresh, clean and robust, with caramel, vanilla, spicy wood, bourbon notes, light tobacco, butter, ice tea, sultanas and cloves. These carry through onto the palate, which has a thick mouthfeel and an initial sweetness followed by some marked acidity reminiscent of lime juice.”
The first Georgian whisky – JIMSHER appeared on the market in 2017, in the same year it won important victories at various world whisky competitions: Gold Medal – “GLOBAL TRAVEL RETAIL SPIRITS MASTERS 2017” Silver Medal – “INTERNATIONAL WHISKY COMPETITION 2018” Silver Medal – “THE TRAVEL RETAIL MASTER 2017” Silver Medal – “THE FIFTY BEST 2020” and others.
Three different types of whisky were produced in 2017, a new one – JIMSHER TRIO – was added at the end of 2021, while in 2024 the company announces the release of another new product.
