Head of Adjara Police Department resigns

The head of the Adjara Police Department, Grigol Beselia, has resigned. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced that the Adjara Police Department already has a new head, although the agency is not specifying his identity at this stage and explains that the public will be informed about this later.

They explain that the heads of departments in various units are being replaced on a rotational basis.

“In various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the heads of departments are being replaced on a rotational basis periodically, which aims to further increase the efficiency of police activities,” they noted.

Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, has also announced about his resignation today.
