According to the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, the government has adopted the revised 2024-2026 air quality management plan for the Tbilisi agglomeration.
Developed with support from the European Union and Tbilisi City Hall, the plan aims to strictly control air pollution in the capital and improve overall air quality. In addition to the major institutions mentioned, other government divisions, civil society, and parliament also contributed to preparing the blueprint.
“Developing management plans for atmospheric air quality is best practice for controlling air pollution in EU countries,” reported the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture.
