Georgian wines were showcased on the center stage at the 20th edition of a well-known French culinary and wine festival called ‘Les Festives Gourmandes’ in Chalon-sur-Saône.
Georgian delegation’s visit was supported by Georgia’s National Wine Agency and its partner, Le Pont Caucasien. In total, five Georgian producers displayed their wines to an audience of nearly 10,000 visitors, many of whom were wine experts.
The National Wine Agency pointed out the strategic importance of such international exposure. “Since 2013, we’ve been implementing marketing campaigns worldwide to strengthen Georgia’s presence on the global wine map,” the Agency stated.
“Events like this are essential for raising awareness of Georgia’s unique winemaking traditions,” said Ilia Kakhoidze, a France-based oenologist and head of Le Pont Caucasien who personally presented the wines to festival visitors.
