Georgian judoka Lasha Bekauri, a 24-year-old world champion in the 90 kg category, qualified for the semi-finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Lasha Bekauri defeated Han Ju-yeop, a South Korean judoka. In the semi-finals, Bekauri will face Tristan Mosakhlishvili from Spain.
On July 30, Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili, a 24-year-old three-time world champion in the 81 kg category, earned a silver medal after losing to the current Olympic champion, Japanese judoka Takanori Nagase.
